EU SheetsMigration

Move to EU Sheets

A good move starts with what you have.

An automatic migration from Google Sheets or Power BI is in preparation. Opening a single workbook does not replace transferring an entire data model.

In preparation

Clarify the scope in advance.

Migration is in preparation. The importers haven't been built yet. This shows what's meant to come across, not what already works today.

Prepare in three steps

Review first. Then decide.

  1. Save a reference

Back up workbooks and the expected results from your current environment.

  2. Check files selectively

Compare sheets, formulas, formats and charts using a representative file.

  3. Clarify special cases

Assess external connections, macros and BI models separately before making a change.

Before getting started

Good to know.

Can I start with existing Excel files?

Workbooks are part of the described use. The specific file should be checked for formulas, formats and charts; full compatibility is not guaranteed.

Are Excel macros executed?

This page does not promise VBA or macro execution. Workbooks with automations require a separate review.

What is the difference between a report and a dashboard?

A report explains an analysis in context. A dashboard brings together multiple metrics and views for a quick overview.

Will a Power BI model be transferred automatically?

An automated provider migration is in preparation. The data sources, relationships and calculations of a BI model are not a simple file transfer.
